talk to your rental company. I'm not sure on the laws regarding rentals, but I know all public buildings have to have wheelchair access. Not sure exactly how that falls for your place. I would guess if its a large apartment building it would count and have to have wheelchair accessibility put in. If they wont do anything see if a lawyer or someone else who knows the laws about whether they are required to have a wheelchair ramp. There should be someone at the local court house or something like that, that could tell you if your rental company is required to put one in there or not.
