My best friend and I broke up because she thought I was crazy for having an imaginary friend.
So I was realy hoping someone out there would tell me...does it make you crazy to have an imaginary friend?
Please give me your answers.
I just have one question? how old are you? tell me your age and ill let you know if its crazy that you have an imaginary friend...I'm leaning towards yes... if your over the age of likesix then yes its very crazy to have a imaginary friend but it surley isn't a laughing matter. imaginary friends are people or animals that we make up in our mind to keep us company when were lonely. you could have been socially deprived as a child or have went through some rough shit that made you make up an imaginary friend and keep him/her/it around till this day. I suggest you see a shrink...they will be able to help you straighten out all of your promblems, no matter how painful they may be... best of luck
Well calling it imaginary means you know its not real... So no... You're not 'crazy'. Being psychotic means losing touch with reality. It is, however, very unusual for anyone over the age of 8 to have an imaginary friend. It generally isnt the healthiest coping mechanism, you may want to consider talking to your school counselor.
No, I don't think your crazy at all. I just think your not as socially active as others. Just try not having a imaginary friend, and see how it goes. I am sorry if I wasn't a lot of help. - Advice girl, (:
