what kind of guitar strings and pickups
what kind of guitar strings and pickups will produce a blend of “old fashioned” rock and roll sound with a little grunge sound?
pick-ups DO matter
I’d go with maybe a Fender Jaguar or Telecaster for “old fashion rock”
I’m not real educated on pickups for that style but im sure the stock ones would be fine.
as for strings, I use Ernie Ball Super Slinky
I’d try Jazz strings, or any heavier-gauged pure-nickle set, really.
I like ernie ball strings…or get a grunge/distortion pedlle [like 40 bucks :/]
Its not the pickups its the amplifier, and guitar strings-D’Addario
