What is wrong with my kidneys? Are they failing?

I’m 15, my kidneys hurt a lot it’s been like this for quite a while now, im going to see the doctors about it soon, but im just really freaked, because im afraid my right kidney might be failing.. it runs in the family aswell… and if its true I can never forgive myself because past summer I got really drunk.. and im so afraid that if anything is wrong it is because of this stupid mistake.. I will never drink again. What are the symptoms of kidney failure?? please?

Okay I don’t think its because you got drunk!. I think you just have kidney stones

You probably just have a kidney infection. If you’re kidneys were failing you would have been in hospital a long time ago. Unfortunately though we can’t diagnose you over the internet so it is a good thing that you are going to the doctor. I also suggest that you stop worrying about it, because worrying can worsen any symptoms or imaginary symptoms
