What is this lump above my left nipple ?

I think I’ve asked this question before, but I keep worrying. im 13 and I have this hard lump right above my left nipple, and right now its kind of big and hard. I think it grows and get harder when im near my period, but im not sure if this is breast cancer? if its not, could you tell me what it possibly is ? thanks!

hiia..Xx when my daughter was younger she had the exact same problem. the lump gets bigger as your getting your period. its not a big thing..the sooner you go to a doctor or your gp the better..

I think what you are describing are montgomery glands. Many women have them, and they are just small bumps around the nipples. It is thought that they help to lubricate the nipples at that time in your life that you may be breast-feeding. It is normal to have one or more around your nipple. Breast tissue will feel different around the time of your period. If you are really worried go and see a medical professional, but your body is still changing and it will take a while for things to settle down.
