What is the proper,ladylike way to cross your legs?

At the ankle or at the knee? W had this debate in class one day. It was split half and half for our class.

I actually do not know the technical way of how it is done. However I would say as long as no one can see your underwear or suspects that they can, then it is the proper lady like way ;)

ankle, with knees together. and with a slant, not straight up and down.
