What does this mean if my friend does this and what should I do?

Okay. I’ve met this person about six months ago and we became close friends in about two months of that time. Like me spending nights over that person’s house, staying up really late texting each other, and other best friend like stuff. Then one day that person completely stopped talking to me. That person wouldn’t even look at me anymore, but then one day the person told me that I didn’t do anything and told me that they have something serious, but it didn’t make any sense to me. I just want to see if it makes sense to you guys.

Aids? I don’t know maybe some bad disease they don’t wanna give you or cancer and figured might as well not make friends. you never specified if it was a girl or guy. but I don’t know. I might be taking it wrong.
