What does this dream mean if everything is red?

I read this article in a magazine once and it said that dreams are the brain’s way of making sense of the world, and also a way that your subconscious ‘speaks to you’. Sometimes your subconscious knows something is wrong where your mind doesn’t so I’ve been paying attention to my dreams more. I just had this weird dream where I wrote a best-selling book and the part I remember most was the critics were saying ‘it’s like spongebob meets planet of the apes’. Huh??? What does that mean!!!?

Dreams are basically your thoughts for the day being ran through your mind and it trying to make sense of it. So maybe you watched spongebob or saw a picture somewhere and likewise with planet of the apes (or maybe you just saw a monkey and your mind made a connection there.) and maybe you were reading or writing and wondering how an author does it or saw a book signing…

It’s really all just random thoughts. Think of your brain as first as files on a computer. You run across the color red. It looks in the file stored for red and comes up with apple, stop sign etc. Your mind tries to file what it experiences with similar things.

Now take those files and think of ways to connect them… any way possible. Which means it might get a lil goofy. Voila, a dream.

No thats not how it works…your brain is not “files” the dream could mean everything and it could mean nothing…theyre not random things through the day…yes they could be in your dream but it goes deeper than that…everything has a meaning…whether your eating a certain food like spaghetti or an avacado…even the music your listening to…or watching urself do something like read draw dance or sing…computer files are nothing like that…theyre set and organized material in a database that sort and order according to how you want it…people can control their dreams but it takes practice…not subconciously thinking ooh look im gona dream that tonight…

Dreamind is one of our most intimate experiences. Every dream, every night, is unique. If it is recurring it usually deals with some aspect of life that hasnt been solved yet. Our dream-world however confusing, frightening, wonderful, or saucily sexy, reveals all of our secrets. Every human emotion and experience can be reflected in our dreams. They mirror our deepest desires, hopes, fears, and fantasies. Its this that makes our dreams so important. Usually interpreting dreams can help us understand ourselves and help solve problems. Sometimes even the timiest detail can mean something major in someone’s life. And then other times the biggest detail means nothing. And I do know a lot of meanings for certain things in dreams…remember the tiniest details…
