What does "THE DMZ" mean in this song? Everyday Combat

There’s a song that is always playing by Linkin Park or someone like that, that has “dancing in the DMZ”, and “living in the DMZ” in it. I believe the name of the song is called “Everyday Combat”.

What does the DMZ mean? It’s been driving me crazy! lol No one I know has the answer. They sing it and have no clue what it means. :)

Answer #1

here:

De-militarized zone. Area where no military activity should take place, thus also refers to peaceful urban areas away from drug-infested gang territories.

Answer #2

DMZ is always demilitarized zone, its a very common IT term which stand for a machine or a cluster of machines where no restrictions are set. So in the song I guess they live in an unrestricted area :)

Answer #3

Assuming the song is talking about combat, the demilitarized zone in this case would be an area between two waring groups where fighting isn’t allowed.

Answer #4

hm…so they are dancing and living in a demilitarized zone? Not sure I get it…maybe I’m not supposed to. Anyway, thanks for the answer. I’m back to square one. :)

Answer #5

Answer #6

Answer #7
