It just means that curiosity will often get you into situations that could be troublesome. Cats are very curious. I had a kitten once that got into the garbage and got its head stuck in a chef boyardee can. When I came home I heard clunking and I went to go investigate it and found my kitten jumping up at the wall hitting the can stuck on its head into the wall repeatedly. There is a little real life example for you. Curiosity can get you into trouble.
