No, what you read about (if you had actually bothered to understand what you were reading) was that President Obama struck down the Bush administration’s ban on giving federal money to international groups that perform abortions or provide abortion information. He did NOT free federal money to provide abortions.

The Bush policy had banned U.S. taxpayer money, usually in the form of Agency for International Development funds, from going to international family planning groups that either offer abortions or provide information, counseling or referrals about abortion as a family planning method.

Critics have long held that the rule unfairly discriminates against the world’s poor by denying U.S. aid to groups that may be involved in abortion but also work on other aspects of reproductive health care and HIV/AIDS, leading to the closure of free and low-cost rural clinics.

PLEASE… Get the facts BEFORE you spread rumors and lies…

Harley, I might not question what a person saw on tv but I would question what they understood it to mean. This young woman obviously did NOT understand what she was reading or seeing.

lol. Okay… I can give hundreds of sources (newspapers, tv news reports, etc) that say this is EXACTLY what transpired. Please give me ONE source that supports your belief that the President only released federal money for abortions and mentions nothing about the reversal of the ban.

Mandy- what the heck are you talking about, I did not change anything, the first comment I posted was yours word for word and the second one that I posted was Utopia’s. I don’t need thicker skin, I just seem to have more respect for people even when they are confussed.

How was I ugly - she is spreading rumors on the internet and I asked her not too. I think it’s very “ugly” of someone to come on here and spread rumurs when they have no clue what they are talking about.

Utopia, I agree but there is no reason to be ugly, A nice infomative correction to her question/statment would have been easy enough, I thank goodness our teaches don’t reply that way if a student is confussed or miss understood the message.

If you’re more willing to believe a hysterical, reactionary rumor than to believe something that actually happened, I don’t know what more anyone on here can do for you. But keep in mind that you’re asking people to express their opinions on something that never took place.

You know what lock the question, I think it is so funny how everytime I am on a thread where Mandy is it becomes a personal battle, NO it is not, I have seen post 3 pages long with her and other people “debating” I am allowed to be on the same thread. All you did was substitue 2 words and I really don’t see how that made that much of a difference. Also, why would I say please? I see no problem in what I said to the young lady - she came on a website giving people the impression that Obama is giving money for abortions and gave other users the same impression.

If it seems to harsh for you the way I said it - maybe you need some thicker skin, because I dont see a problem with it.
