What do I tell my kids about my boyfriend being in jail ?
I want to know what to tell my kids about my boyfriend being in jail. He is not there real father but hes been around for a few months.
I was in the same situation and the best thing to do is be honest with your children.They won’t think any less of you because of that but if you lie to them and they find out different they are going to wonder why you told them a lie. You don’t have to tell them all the details just tell them before they find out by someone who will tell them before you do and make the situation worse than what it is.I hope I helped.
Well, how old are they? If you feel they’re old enough to understand the situation, sit them down and explain what happened. If they’re too young, maybe it’s better to just say “He’s away for a while.”
