What city should my friend and I run away to?

My best friend and I are over living in Louisville Kentucky, we want a change, we want a fresh new start at this point in our lives. So my question is, what city should we jet-set off to, what coast, what part of the country. We’ve thought about California, New York City, and possibly Florida, yet despite the research we’ve done, we are still lacking a personal opinion of someone who has or actually does live in either of these locations. Please, if you have a suggestion, opinion, or word of advice for us, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks you guys.

And I live in Miami. This place is definitely not for everyone. I hated it when I first got here. Now I love it. It depends really. The community is very diverse. Lots of different ethnicities, races, cultures, there’s a huge GLBT community. There’s just a huge mix of people. Of course there’s also a superficial level here. Honestly, more info on what you’re looking for would help.

Go to Florida! I’ve lived there my whole life and I couldn’t imagine living anywhere else.
