What can I do to make my computer game stop freezing?

Okay so I just bought the Sims 3 computer game. It works fine it’s just that it’s always freezing on me and it takes forever to load. How can I make it run faster? Thanks

Just make sure no other programs are running on your computer.

Not having anything else open, if its on a browser try taking out the options on the browser like the sidebars. If it has detail selection set it to medium or low and try to have some patience with it lol
