Can you get hiv from having sex or hugging
HIV infection isn't like a cold or the flu. A person cannot get HIV by hugging or holding the hand of, sharing a school bus or classroom with, or visiting the home of someone who has HIV. HIV is passed only through direct contact with another person's body fluids, such as blood. The majority of people get infected with HIV by:
* having sexual contact with a person who has HIV
* sharing needles or syringes (used to inject illegal drugs) with a person who has HIV
The HIV virus is passed on through bodily liquids. Sperm, womens vaginal fluid, blood although it's highly unlikely to catch it throw kissing but still make sure your safe. This is one of the reasons why you should always use condoms because you cant tell by looking at um1 if they've got it!
You definatly can get it from sex. The only other way that you can get HIV, is if the person's body fluids get into a cut, scrape, your mouth, or your eye. The fluid has to enter your body somehow.
with a person who has hiv or is hiv positive
any person who is hiv positive might not tell you they are hiv positive so ask them
