Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, The Who, Cream, Allman Brothers, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Jimi Hendrix.

I’ll throw in the Beatles and the Beach Boys for a balance of softness.

Led Zepplin!!! you cant go wrong with led zepplin, check out ramble on and the immigrant song. The Who (teenage wasteland) the cars (heartbeat city) the White Stripes, but none of the main stream stuff from them.. check out icky thump or black math. those are some great suggestions…

Black stone Cherry, Buck Cherry, Airborne, Avenged Sevenfold, Sevendust, Anew revolution, Drowning pool, 12 stones, nonpoint, evans blue, evenescence, Lacuna Coil, guano apes, that’s all I can think of right now.

‘3 days grace’ and ‘default’ - both sort of old but I’m not a fan of new rock. :)
