Want a snake

I reeeaaally want a pet snake. I did research on the species, and it’s not venomous, and they grow to a max of about 30 inches. But my dad hates snakes, and because of that, I can’t get one. He’s a very strict dad, and persuasion won’t work. How can I convince him?! (The snake I want is a Northern Ringneck Snake. I find them in my backyard all the time. =/ )

Regardless, your dad doesn’t like snakes and if he doesn’t want one in HIS house (not YOUR house) he doesn’t have to allow it.

He hates snakes? Well, I don’t like them either. Tell him about how many people hate snakes, but even though people hate the, millions of people still have them as pets. Tell him you’ll keep it outside in a cage, it will never come inside, and you’ll always be the one taking care of it. If he allows, stick to your word! If not, give him the idea of having this snake as a trial pet. Keep it for a week or two and do all the things you promised. Then, your dad will be able to see that you really can keep your word, and might let you keep the snake. If not, wait a while, and try a different pet, like a turtle or guiena pig. Hope I helped!
