How to trade in pokemon ruby

Answer #1

Once you have caught an ample supply of Pokemon, you’ll want to trade them with your family and friends to get rare Pokemon, or avoid the work of catching certain hard-to-grab monsters. In fact, whenever catching Pokemon, it is always a good idea to grab two (especially with rare ones in the Safari Zone and on Mirage Island), so that when it comes trading time, you have some interesting Pokemon to offer.

On the flip side, there are certain Pokemon you’ll almost never want to trade (unless you own both versions of the game). These Pokemon are:

* Kyogre (Sapphire)
* Groudon (Ruby)
* Anorith
* Lileep
* Latios (Ruby)
* Latias (Sapphire)

Before trading, save your game and turn it off. Then connect the link cable from your GBA to the GBA of the person who wants to trade with you. Then, to trade Pokemon, go to the upstairs of the Pokemon Center, and have your friend go there as well (in his/her version of the game). Enter the middle door of the upstairs to trade. You’ll have to save before you continue, then walk through the door and have your friend do the same. Each side must select a Pokemon and confirm their choice for the trade to go through. Enjoy!

Through trading, certain Pokemon will evolve in different ways. Experiment with held items while trading in order to get your Pokemon to transform in new and interesting ways.

There you go lol.
