Actually... because they are different.
People tend to have stereotypes. When I was young I thought that all people who spend all of their money, time and life on style, makeup and status symbols are superficial and probably dumb and should get a life. And I thought that people who don't spend too much effort in their attire must be smarter and have real interests.
Now I'm old and wise and I know that people who spend no time and money on style and makeup are - more often than not - just as superficial and dumb as the glittering folks. :-/
i guess because "girly" girls come of snobby, or concieded, or preppy. Which i learned isn't necessarily true. i didn't like them for the longest time, because most of the ones i knew WERE snobby, concieded, and preppy. then my bestfriend moved here from cali, she's extremely girly but she's crazy, and down to earth at the same time and i wouldn't trade her for anything. it could also be a jealousy thing. do your friends actually KNOW the girls, or do they just not like them because of what they've heard...
Maybe its because they themselves cannot except girly girls cause they do not think they would fit well with it, so, they rebel against it to save themselves from being apart of it, you know. Thats a little confusing, let me explain in a different way, hmm, well, they could be also jelous of other girls for being able to look "cute" in girly clothes, and they do not think they could match up, so they, again, rebel, to keep away from it, and save themselves the expence.
I don't know why they'd hate them, maybe not like them but hate ? I'm sure they have some 'girly ness' in them. Maybe they just judge them. If by girly girls you mean the popular kids, I used to dislike them a lot too, then I actually started talking to a few of them, their really nice kids out of their cliques. It's just stereotypes that seperate everyone really.
she's against shorty shorts, heels, skirts, dresses, and flowery stuff and sparkles and other stuff like that and it annoys me its like she isnt even a girl sometimes...she sticks to sweats and sneakers and no makeup everyday :P
Because when people are in there teenage years, they are most critical , and if they don't have the same interests as them, then they instantly "hate" them... which is sad. They will grow out of it..
my best friend is a tomboy. She just thinks that being girly is overrated. You friends may feel the some way.
no shes been like that as long as she can remember :P
