to SPED or NOT to SPED

My son has been diagnosed with “communication disorder” (he’s only 1 and 10 months old). He has already seen 3 specialists, a Behavioral/Developmental Ped, an ENT and a Neuro Ped. According to the ENT, based on the result of his ABR test, hearing is ok. Both Behavioral Ped and Neuro Ped said that it’s too early for him to be diagnosed if he has Autism or any PDD subthreshold and both also have the same recommendations, occupational and speech therapy and enrol in a playschool where his socialization skills will be stimulated. But here is my dilema: Behavioral Ped recommended to have him temporarily enrolled in a SPED school where a trained Sped Teacher will handle the class. If his condition improves, he might be able to transfer to a mainstream school in a few months. While the Neuro Ped said that he’s too early for a SPED school and enroll him in a playschool instead. Neuro Ped also worries that he might assimulate some of his classmates behavior (as other classmates might have severe problems). I have raised this question to Behavioral Ped, but she said that my son is going to join a class with 2 children of the same condition and and degree of problem. She reminded me again its gonna be temporary just to make sure that the objectives will be met before making my son attend a regular school in the upcoming schoolyear. I just want to do what’s best for my son at this point, so I hope you could help me decide because it’s confusing to follow which advice to take especially if coming from two experts. Thanks in advance.

Honestly, this is a decision that only you can make. You as a mother need to do what feels right in your own heart - not anyone elses. It’s your child and your decision.
