How does it work exactly? Any information will be really helpful.
i know for sure in most colleges in new york, so i believe it is safe to assume the majority in the states. colleges do not have to excuse you since it is a "treatable illness" but since they dont want to risk bad news yeah. you have to be diagnosed by a few doctors for being emotionally unstable, depressed, and have proof that you are starting medications for the college to okay it.
I'm not sure. But I just wanted to ask if you think having time off because of it would help. You don't want to exclude yourself away from other people, it will most likely make you feel worse.
No you cant. I asked my profeser and he said if you do then you can go to Jail. And i dont think you will like it there
Yes, but you'll need a sick letter from a psychiatrist stating why you cannot work etc.
