I’ve seen part of it but I didnt really get in to it that much but it looked more exciting than what we usually do in church

I’ve seen it (I have it) and I agree that it is a good movie (the book was written by the scientist Carl Sagan). You must belong to a fairly progressive church as the movie doesn’t follow the dogma of the more conservative churches. Even though the central thread is faith in what you believe to be true. It was a nice dichotomy.
