The effect a puppy has on my dog

I have a 5 month female westie puppy and a 2 yr old male westie. It seems around the time we got her he isnt eattin as much. He was beein sick a lot so hes been the vets had blood tests and is on some meds but hes just not eattin he isnt eattin a quater of what he shud be eattin. The dogs eat at the same time but in different rooms, she sometimes comes in to steal his food half way thru eatting which he lets her and stops himself!! Do you think he isnt eattin because he can see her and knows she will be running over to steal his dinner!!

Im running out of ideas here. He has had about 2 mouthfuls aday for about a week now!!!

Could a younge pup stop my 2 yr old dog from eattin?

Are you saying that the two yr old stopped eating? Did the vet do x-rays or do a fecal float to check for parasites or worms??

They came to that conclusion because he was vomiting bile, and the blood tests must have showen liver values within a high normal range. That’s why they are trying to calm his tummy with acid reduction.

Maybe just spicing up his food a little might work?? A tablespoon of canned or the Natural Balance food rolls grated up and mixed in? Then, if he hasn’t finished his food in 30 minutes pick it up… Is he showing a weight loss? Also, you might consider a different food…not all dog foods agree with every dog…

Don’t let puppy have his food either…keep her away from him until it’s obvious that he is done with it.
