A TRUE teddy bear dog is a shi tzu and poodle cross but people like to call them as they see them. If it has a short face like a teddy bear it may be mixed with pekegnise.Mine is a yorkinese and very fluffy and face is identicle to a teddy bear.
Who knows. The people who “designed” this dog are totally just out to make money. They mixed two dogs, the result was something cute and fluffy, then they named it the elusive “Teddy Bear Dog”, are charging thousands of dollars for them, and not telling what the mix is.
To me, it looks like some sort of shepard x pom.

TEDDY BEAR DOG IS A CROSS BETWEEN A SHIH TZU AND A BISHON FRISE. THEY GROW TO BE BETWEEN 5 AND 10 POUNDS.
