Well, you can always cut the bags open, if you'd like to simply brew tea. Otherwise, if your problem is with the quality of bagged tea, I know that in my area you can get green tea powder, and oolang tea unbagged.
Most Turkish teas that I've seen, such as Caykur and Karadeniz, are sold in large bags with just the rolled up leaves which you let steep in warm water.
Ah, well, you don't usually buy tea leaves from "Red Rose" or "Tetley"...you get them from a specialty store or from bulk food stores
Yes, they're tea leaves and you can get them in pretty much any flavour that you can get tea in.

try natural food or health stores. they have things like that. I'm not sure on brands though.
