Summer job

I am 14 years old and I am looking for a summer job. Is there any place that will hire a 14 year old?

enjoy your time while your young. where I live, we can start working at 15… and I did. looking back on it… I wish I took the extra year to be a kid and enjoy a simpler life.

dont rush to grow up. enjoy your freedom!!

if you need some extra spending cash… try asking to do chores around the house for your parents… or try asking friends, family, and neighbors if they need a babysitter.

but as for real, tax-paying jobs… please wait and enjoy your time. I sure wish I did. I hafta get up for work in 6 hours, and work a double shift until the evening.,, and I cant fall asleep.

save yourself another year or two of stress.

best wishes

Not unless you’re babysitting or volunteering for the city or something (yes, that means no pay). 16 is the normal hiring age. I think 14 is allowable only under the hardship clause (meaning you’re having to help pay the bills at the house but you need this pile of paperwork to prove that). Because of your age, you fall under the child labor area of the US Labor Laws. It’s hard for you to do much other than, maybe, yard work, babysitting, or pet sitting or something. Sorry. :(
