Actually too much water can wreck havoc on a system suffering from stomach flu and can make you sick. Rather get some electrolytes (mixture) and sip it every half and hour. Also get some clear applejuice, that will help for the pain and discomfort and ask someone to make cooked carrots and potatoes (mashed) for you, that helps relieve the discomfort too. DO NOT take immodium on stomach flu, the reason you'll have a runny tummy is because your body is trying to get rid of the virus, rather try and eat foods that help stop it like pasta or the above.
Drink a lot of water and maybe OJ. Eat saltine crackers, dry toast, hard-boiled eggs (I hate those), chicken broth, maybe tomato soup... That's just from what I know from my mother. After you feel better, you can start eating regular again but take it slow.
Oh and for throwing up get valoid, that helps for nausea, ask your pharmacist if they have a syrup, that will be easier to keep down then a pill. Then if it doesn't go away in a few days (make it 2) see a doctor.
Rest. Drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy stuff? I dont think there is like a way to just make it go away all together, but if you just try to treat it, then maybe it won't be as bad?
Yea I barely leave my bed but I can't keep food down at all and after I drink something I'll throw it up in about 20 min:/ I was kinda hopin someone knows a medicine or something that helps
Yep, they work well. I had stomach lining infection a few years a go and the ONLY thing that worked was purity pure apple juice. For about a week I couldn't take anything in.
Most medicines don't help that much, and can actually slow down the healing process. The vomiting is caused by the body trying to flush the flu bug out of your system.
Heh...you reminded me of the BRAT diet we used to use...Bananas, Rice, Apples and Tea. Great for stomach bugs. :)
flush your system with a lot of water and take cold and flu tablets.. dont drink anything but water
