Start menu won't come up?

My start menu on my laptop won’t come up..I click it & nothing happens..it’s been like it for about a week..anyone have any idea why it won’t open?

Don’t say ‘duh’.. some people leave their computers/laptops on 24/7. So misty was just checking.

How have you been shutting down your laptop so far? By pressing the Power button for a few seconds? When did the problem start happening? You can try going to a Restore point/date before you noticed it happening. Or, you can use the CD that came with your laptop to reinstall windows.

and you’ve tried restarting your computer? Mine used to do that and I just restarted it

press ctrl+alt+del and there will be a task manager- click on new task and type- explorer.exe

This problem is due to a virus called bronchos which cant be removed (only deleted)

geez I was just being sarcastic…

I have shut it down by pressing the power button for a few seconds before..not for awhile tho.. and it didn’t come with any disks…soo I can’t do that..could it be a virus causing it?
