How can I become less socially awkward/shy around boys I like?

When I’m with my friends I am very outgoing and what not but when i am with boys even if i just see them (good looking ones) i turn beat red, my stomach twists and i become very awkward and shy. How can I get over this? HELP!

Sometimes it helps to pretend or believe that THEY are in fact the shy ones, and need help coming out of their shells.. lol. And in many cases that’s the truth, they’re just covering up their own awkwardness by a lot of bravado. Learn to smile, make eye contact and (previously at home) be prepared with some things to say, just little things. In these situations, smalltalk is everything.

The good news is that it gets better and better, the more experience you have. I went to a girls school and didn’t even know what boys were when I graduated. It took me a while to figure out they were the same species.

I don’t understand how can that be. Did you have a father figure?!? If your father wasn’t there, I could understand that. What was your father then?

Answer #3

That redness in your face is probably cute! Just remember how awesome you are, and that all of us boys and girls are just humans.

Answer #4

Just be yourself, don’t be afraid of rejection because Trust me it doesn’t hurt to much and if you do get rejected think about how much better you can do. (: Just be yourself, be bold be brave, be you! (:

Answer #5

If you’re old enough having some alcoholic beverage, and i’m not talking alot, but it does loosen you up and give you a bit more confidence. I used to be like that too when i was younger and i found just laughing along and smiling with them in a group of friends until you’re more comfortable around them to actually talk, perhaps even alone without friends. One things for sure have confidence!! Or fake it till ya make it. :)

Answer #6

You took me literally - sorry. I just meant that I didn’t know how to behave around boys and didn’t “understand” them.

Answer #7

practice makes perfect.. just hang around a lot of them til u get used to it
