Sing like king of leon?

As in the song ‘’Use somebody’’ By kings of leon, please somone tell me how can I train to get the voice that he used in that song, I really love it, its so passionate and sad. Any ideas?

Well people tell me that I have a good voice and good singing voice but all I can say Is good luck cause you just have to sound like that when you sing

try saying something in the same way you would if you were crying. the position you find your voice in is a lot of the basis for his style… be sure to maintain that you still pronounce every word correctly and you dont close your throat up too much as this technique can come with these problems I have found.

also try ensure you do not go too nasel there is a thin line between that emotional cry(y) sound and sounding like a deep southern cat..
