Should I just get over him?

I asked this question before in the past about this guy that I’ve liked but here’s a little detail I forgot to add in, okay well just in case some of you don’t know my situation, there’s this guy who I liked since last year May and before I liked him, he would stare at me all the time and then I eventually started to like him and I finally told him on msn that I liked him and at first he didn’t believe me then he told me he had a girlfriend. but after that, he would still stare at me and he started to act fidgety whenever I would pass by him.he even talked to me on msn after the incident I asked some people that knows him if he has a girlfriend and they said they highly doubt that. okay I’m not being racist or anything but he’s indian and I’m black and I heard they can’t date out of their race or religion so I was wondering if that’s why he said he had a g.f, or maybe he just panicked? didn’t take me seriously? what do you guys think? should I just get over him? btw, we were just classmates, we weren’t friends before
