I've accepted the fact that we are never going to be official...but should me and the guy remain friends or will the cycle just keep going on of us trying to be friends and then messing around? Im trying to move on with a new person--will me being friends with the other guy ruin it?
Dear missbosslady, Relationships 101 states that you need to move on...we can never stay friends with past lovers. They are called EXs for a good reason. Stats show that staying friends leads to more hardships. You are best to part as friends than to remain as friends and then part as enemies. Men & woman are hardwired differently; woman tend to be more emotional and men more detached so with matters of the heart. We run the risk with EXs to become bed buddies only and the emotional woman (we are) tend to get hurt more. Sue...good luck
In my humble opinion, you can remain friends if you choose but 'messing around' is out....that makes it too easy to be 'used' rather than a healthy friendship....if you're truely trying to move on, that might mean cutting all ties because, yes, it can make things difficult with someone new (a fresh start)....bottom line, only you can decide what's best for you
