What does self respect mean to YOU?!
Dear dani007, When I first started taking psychology classes we would get self-esteem and self-respect confused. So I think you may find there will be several answers on self-esteem rather than self-respect...it's a normal confusion.
To me self-respect is accepting myself for who I am...even after I have made a mistake. Sue...good luck
I think self respect means that you except yourself for how you look and what you do. (You become friends with yourself/ you like you.) I also think a big part of self respect is respecting others because it reflects to those people how confident/mentaly strong you are.
To Me,Self Respect Is;; Not letting yourself down, Keeping good care of yourself,even when others dont, and stand up for yourself when others are tyring to put you down.
I dont find girls who strip or expose themselves to have self respect.
