just wondering idk what im going to do with my life but whatever happens i have to consider all things
I studied music at UNT (though it was NTSU when I studied music). Absolutely amazing music school. When I toured Scandinavia in an exchange program jazz ensemble musicians there even knew about NTSU. Berklee is a fine school in spite of all the ribbing it gets for offering a degree in rock (PhD of power chords?). The Berklee musicians I met impressed me with their skills of composition, arranging, and analysis. Considering how much I struggled with music theory I was probably better off at NTSU. Anyway, best of luck wherever you go but if you go to UNT be sure to stay in Bruce Hall. And of course play in every ensemble you can get into and practice your ass off.
its hard for me to grasp music theory as well seeing as that im first hand a percussionist i started when i was 9 and i just started keyboard and guitar about two years ago. ill have some time to think about what i want to do, granted music is not my main priority as far as a career id enjoy being a mechanical engineer but ill have to do a lot of schooling for that.
Berklee bro. It's my dream college. A bunch of great musicians, including one of my favorite electronic producers went there, Matt Lange. I'll probably end up at University of North Texas, which has a darn good program too. Most music colleges you'll need to be skilled in a real instrument to get in, I play saxophone.
nice, im skilled at playing the drumset and regular percussion and on top of that i play guitar and keyboard. im very well rounded but the conversion from my hands to my computer are hard to grasp. thanks again merlin :D
