my parnter has really bad exma and his already tried a couple of different creams and goat soap but it just seems to be getting worst! :( does anyone know what he can do to clear it up so he can continue doing the things he loves?
Where is the eczema? I have bad eczema on my hands and it flares up when I'm stressed out. Its super itchy and I get little bubbles under my skin with clear liquid in them. My cuts crack and sometimes they get infected. I went to the doc a few times and they gave me several different creams until I found one that worked for me. It's an ointment. I wear it at night with gloves so it really penetrates my hands... Best thing is to stay away from strong soaps that irritate the skin. It may take about a year to totally clear up, you really have to baby it. I've been dealing with this for 2 years already :(
*Eczema. You can't get rid of it or cure it really, you can only keep it under control. My sister has it as well. He should go to a doctor get medication for when it gets really bad. Otherwise, avoid scratching, it will only make it worst. Some foods, different from person to person, might trigger or make it worst, so he will need to pay attention. Avoid soaps or lotions with perfumes, alcohol in them when used in that area. Try bathing in warm or colder water instead of hot, hot will dry it out. He can try using a humidifier in his bedroom or house.
Eczema can go away actually. When I was young I had it really bad behind the knees and on my arms. I ended up growing out of it and for a long time I had absolutely no eczema. But then a couple years ago I got it on my hands... I never got it behind the knees or arms really again tho.
The eczema on my hands first showed up after I wore a ring and under it I got really itchy and it soon spread to my entire hand...
