Can I request the nurse to run a blood test to check for food poisoning on my brother?

my brother is 1 yr and half hes been throwing up and has a high fever/ runny nose..i took him to his doc. several times and gave him medication and its been a week and hes only getting worse can i ask the nurse at the ER to run blood test to check if he has food poisoning cause unfortunately they don’t nothing but layed him on the bed?

Sure you can ask but that may require a Drs order….

if your the guardian.i don’t know if you could request it if you aren’t his guardian.

so if i ask the doc and hes says no its a no..here the doc. don’t do anything..the last time i went to the ER i was very sick and left my jacket on the floor in the corner and the first thing he said to me whhen he walked is “pick up ur jacket its bothering me in a rude voice and he saw how much pain i am in. then i asked him if the results are in and he said “be patient..and yes they are but i don’t like being rushed..i was waiting for 3 hours and no one came ..i been so patient but hes been so rude.

It’s been a week - if it was food poisoning he should be over it by now … unless you think he’s being deliberately poisoned repeatedly? Either way, all you have to do is express that you have a concern that it may be food poisoning and the doctor will usually check for it.
