How to build a relationship with my rat?

does he live by himself? if so… PLAY WITH HIM ALLL THE TIME!!! since you can’t house two boy rats together, and you DEFINETLY can’t house a male and female together, you are going to have to be his VERY BEST FRIEND. or else he will be sooo LONELY and DEPRESSED and SAD and LAZY.

Buy a playmate for him.

play with him a lot! carry him around sometimes and spend time with him if hes a young rat he learn things quicker rats can be very tame and make great pets you can even carry them around on your shoulder for a while but yeah just spend lots of time with him, maybe give him some new things to play with even

aww I love rats!! I had a albino his name was mr jaz rat I had a bag for him that I use 2 open up an put it near his cage an he hoped in it an I use to take him every where with me he came shopping with me once haha was so funny seeing the look on peoples faces he lived for 4 years!! wow thts a long time they only ment 2 live around 2-3 years play with him all the time an give him lots of food lol x

Buy him an exercise wheel if he doesn’t have one. Create different levels in his containment area, so he can climb around. Feed him different types of rat tolerant foods. Talk to him often…? Hope that helps!!!
