It depends what you are trying to record, and what sort of camera you are using.

If you are recording wild-life with a full size camcorder, you can build a “hide”

If you are using a CCTV security camera, it can be mounted inside something like a dummy burglar alarm box or a bird nesting box etc.

If you are using a covert (spy type) surveillance camera, it can be concealed within something like a pen or brooch
