I have very heavy periods and they are very irregular. When I do have one I end up with a bad chest cold, pneumonia, or bronchitis. Is there something my doctor should be testing for to see why this is? Or is there a sight I can go to for information and tests to see why I only get pneumonia and bronchitis during my period?
Firstly do you use tampons? If you do go straight to your GP and tell Him/Her that you use tampons and that you get sick every time you have your period. Tampons can give you Toxic Shock Syndrome (TSS) Its a rare but seriouse disease. The signs are flu like symptoms while you are menstruating. Anyway if you dont use tampons- how long have you had your period? if you've had it three to five six times maybe your body is still getting used to growing up. but if your period has settled into a pattern hen it means your body should be used to it and then I have no explanation for you. Hope I helped. Corne
that sounds very very weird...I wouldnt trust a site...you need to go to a doctor and they will know preferrably a gyn
oh and if you want you can go to...(www.tampax.com) they might be able to answer your question better.
nope do not use tampons. NEVER use them. I am 32 and have had my period since I was 9
