Can I put highlights in my hair, will it work...?

I have naturally dark brown hair…that looks almost black unless it is in the light. I died my hair semi-permanent black (with blueish tint when hit by light) about 5 or 6 months ago…It is hard to tell whether it is still in or not, because my natural color is so dark. I have a box of “Frost & Design” Dramatic Hi-Precision pull-through cap highlights….in Caramel. Would it work, or would I end up with a disaster?

Pull through caps are the worst for doing highlights. The holes in the cap end up leaving spots in your hair along with highlights. Especially with your hair being so dark already…i dont recommend it unless you want to look llike a cheteah. Its hard to say if the hihlights would work properly without knowing if their is actuallly dye in your hair or not….after 5 months though there usuallly is still some dye left and it willl interfere with the highlights. Espcially since you would have dye at the bottom of your hair and not towards the scalp where your natural color has grown in…theres no way they would come out even.

That is what I was thinking. Thanks :)
