Well, I don’t think there is another way.
you can go to the store and have them switch all the contacts and games and music from your old phone to your new one for like 20 dollars

Depends on the type of phone. I know with my iphone, if I was to upgrade to the iphone 4 all I would have to do is plug it into my computer and sync it and I’d have all my stuff back on my new phone, contacts, photos and apps. With other phones there may be an application you can get, with older phones I remeber being able to save numbers onto the sim card and then copy them from the sim card to the new phone.
Yeah, the sim card is in the phone but it doesn’t seem to have any of the contacts.
you can take it to your dealer and ask them to do it for you
You should be able to go to your phone provider and give them your New and Old phone and tell them to do that for you. It should be free to do. Always has been for me
