I toast mine and put butter. You can also do peanut butter, cottage cheese, flavored yogurt, fresh fruit, jelly or jam, etc.

Butter..its not that bad just dont burn the bagle and get it hot enough so the butter melts into it.

When I have no cream cheese I use peanut butter or that chocolate spread stuff. I think it’s called nuetella (don’t know how to spell it lol) or just butter ! and sometimes I use honey or yogurt! :)
