How do I get over my puppy's death?

I’ve been so depressed since he died, everything reminds me of him. I’m seriously acting like a human died. It’s been 3 days and I still can’t stop crying but I know I need to start getting over it. What can help?

Just let yourself cry (cryings good, trust me), and when you’ve finished crying for a bit, go to a friends house and just talk about your puppy-all the good things he did, the good times you all had together- just like you would if a human had died. You could also, maybe when its nighttime and you’re alone in your bed, talk to him and let him know what’s going on in your life an such. It’ll take a while to get over it though, he was your dog and that must have been really awful for you. I hope I helped you a bit ^^ that’s all the stuff that helped me when my grandma died. I’m sorry about your doggy by the way. I hope you feel better soon, and if you need to talk to can always funmail me ^^

Hi moe…I am so sorry to hear about the passing of your dog…I know what you are going through when my dog was killed by accident…I was so devastated…was our first dog…felt so empty in the house…it’s weird when you get used to a pet & they pass away it’s like this big huge emptiness…no barking…and no one to cuddle up on your feet & no one to greet ya…what we did was get another dog…not to replace but an addition so your not alone! Remember the fun times and if you have pics keep one on ya in your bag or frame one near your bed…tht is what I did! Grieving is fine…some take longer then others…take all the time you need…

Hope this helped!

:( e-huggle i’m sorry hun<3 I know how hard it can be losing a pet you love. A few years ago my mom’s cat got preggo and she had kittens. I was there when she gave birth and named them all and i got really attached to one and later he died. :( I cried for ever. —Let the emotions come out! If you need to cry, then hun, cry! It’s okay. Soon you will be better and you’ll start to get over your little one’s death. It takes time. You have got to give yourself time to accept what happened. <3 Just let it out. Keeping the emotions won’t be good on you. <3 When i was getting over Scooter’s death (my kitten that died) i used to talk about him all the time to my mom and friends. He was almost 3 months old when he died. He used to sleep on my lap and he’d follow me around. Talking about the good things about your pet to your friends or family i think will help. You can remember him and laugh about the cute things it did that made you smile. Your bby might be dead, but his meomory isn’t<3

make a puppy momorial! it helped me feel better after my cat fred died. cry alot cause it’s good for the soul. keep his/her bed/coler/bowl ect. Talk about it and pray to him, tell him you love him and try to dream about him. My guidence counceler told me it gets better but never goes away. She is a grown woman and still dreams about a dog she had when she was little! I’m sorry for your loss and I hope this helps!

ok my horse just died and my mom and i made a photo album of all of the pictures we had of her and all of the sympathy cards you may want to consider puting his/her dog tag on a chain and wear it as a neaklace youll never fully be over his/her death but you will feel better also dont be afraid to cry (its good) and like conner above said talk to a friend about why you love your dog and take it easy for a while ok? =l
