Popping Zits etc.

Okay. Me and my friends pop our zits. But I’ve heard that only makes it worse. Does it make it worse or does it help???

Answer #1

4 years??? I highly doubt that.

Answer #2

Makes it worse. It spreads the bacteria to the surrounding skin which means you will likely end up with even more spots. Also, it takes a spot 7 days to run it’s course and heal. Everytime you touch it, it has to start back from day 1 again. You also risk scarring.

Answer #3

It could cause the acne to spread and it could cause scarring as well.

If you need to pop, then apply a warm compress to help open the pores, and squeeze gently…if gentle pressure isn’t enough, then it’s not ready.

Answer #4

I’ve heard that too but unless you get the offensive agent out then the zit will stay there. It just doesn’t “go away”. I had three pimples on my nose for FOUR YEARS. Because I didn’t pop them.

Answer #5

not necessarily. After you pop a zit, you should apply something medicated to it, or maybe witch hazel or tea tree oil. But not keeping your face clean, it will spread.
