At your age, I would encourage you to slow down, but if you are going to be sexually active, you need to educate yourself in order to protect yourself. Condoms are 85-90% effective in preventing pregnancy. All hormonal contraceptives are better than 99% if used correctly. But you need to go to a doctor for them. And in case of condom failure or unplanned passion induced unprotected sex ... there is also emergency contraceptive named PLAN B. Anyone (guy or girl) past their 18th birthday can buy it at the pharmacy counter. Even in Texas. That is only 85% effective if taken within hours ... or 70% is taken within 4 days, possibly 5 days.
