Please help me with my school problems.

I don’t see the point of going to school if I have a C in every class. I can’t get them up, especially in honors chem because I don’t understand anything. and I have a terriable teacher that only shows up power points… I was first in honors math at the beginning of the year, but I was put into normal because of my grade. NOW because of the grade I had, I can barely get to a B, even though I’ve only had one C on a test. I have gotten A’s and B’s for the rest! What is really worrying me is the semester finalls. if I get a C (which I most likely will) it my grade will fall a lettergrade. I am so stressed out of my mind for the Civics (american and political science), Chem and Math final, that I’m just making it harder. I also want to get into a good college, but I’m worried that they’ll look at my grades in the classes and say no because of them. Please help me. I’m at such a road block I don’t have any idea how to get around it.

Well, the more you stress about it, the harder it will be to bring your grades off. Try taking a day off and just not thinking about it- take a bubble bath, relax, do something that calms you down. THEN study- be organized about it. If you start to feel overwhelmed by it, take a deep breath and walk around for awhile- get a snack, and don’t go back to it until you feel like you can concentrate on it. I agree with kimberly- the harder you work, the more good recommendations you’ll be able to get. Just do your best. =]

Eh… Well for one you need to calm down a bit and study more, If you feel your taking classes too advanced for you ask your guidance counselar to bump you down from honors to normal. If you already did that there is always tutoring and such. Almost most college’s only ask for something slightly above a 3.0 so… If you finish high school with like a B Or B+ thats pretty good as a plain old 80% in your major classes will constitute a 3.0 for you… So if you pass this year with just c’s ( A 2.0 ) And you do really well next year. with all A’s and high b’s that would even things out for you. Hoped I helped.

Your grades are very important and I’m sure you already know that. However, grades are not the only thing that colleges look at. They look at your effort and when it comes time for letters of recommendations from teachers at your school, you want them to be excellent recommendations. If teachers see you working hard and at least trying to improve your grades by doing extra work or coming in after school for help, you will be sure to get a good word in from them. Apply for scholaships too when it comes to that time, there are scholarships for just about anything and I’m very serious when I say that. I’ve known students to get scholarships for simple things like owning an air-boat. Hope this helps.
