Can you take the Plan B pill within minutes after unprotected sex?

My bf & I got caught up in the mood, & yeah. So I took the pill about 15 minutes after he left. Will it work better, the same or not have the same affect?

For me, you should take it before you have sex, so it will take affect… or better weeks before the deed

Yes. The sooner its taken after sex, the more effective it is, with effective declining after 12 hours.

Here’s what I’m not understanding … if you have the plan B pill already, then are you using it as a form of birth control? It just seems to me like you should plan for contraception, not damage control.
