My only sign was I had REALLY bad cramps, it felt like someone was punching me below my belly button. I thought I was getting a bad flu but it turned out to be my period. It was really unexpected because I was only 10-years-old.

My first sign of a period was the cramping, heavy discharge, mood swings to where no one in my family could talk to me, and crying. I was 11 turning 12 when that happened. I didn’t expect that to come fast since I bled heavy first thing. I always had a stomach ache.
