How have patterns of trade hindered economic progress in LEDCs?

Poly sci homework eh?

Well, think about it…the US imports from China. They have economies of scale, built up expertise, etc.

Then, another country wants to sell produce the same product to ship to the USA…they don’t have equipment, trade negotiations, quota worked out, tax arrangements, customs…nothing.
