Pathways at school

I gotta a bit of a dilema at da moment. At school in year 9 we choose pathways which is literally where you do more of either art, drama, music or languages and less of the others. My best mate evr wants to art but I am real bad at art. My parents say I shouldnt do art, I dont want to do art that much, but I dont want to get split up from my mate because I spent the last 2 years gettin to know her really well and then we will get split up. what should I do. if I do sumthin different to her I we will get split up in every subject and we wont be friends, HELP! she is da best mate I have ever had in my life!! Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!!

Go with the pathway that best prepares you for your future (career study courses) - a true friend will be there regardless - especially with all the ways to stay in contact these days…I wish you the best !!

You need to figure out which one is best for YOU, don’t do whats best for your best friend because its not going to help you. High school tends to make you really independent because you need to follow your path. Following your best friends path isn’t going to help you at all and she needs to understand that. Sometimes you have to go on your own, you benefit from it in the end though, so make the right choice. You WILL make new friends following your pathway, friends that you will obviously have a lot in common with. It doesn’t mean you cant keep your old friends, but meeting new people that you have similarities with is great.

I know people always say to put others before you and consider their feelings, but this isn’t the case. For this you need to think about you, and not others. YOU YOU YOU YOU YOU :) lol
